Unlocking Biblical Wisdom

Hey there, fellow seekers! If you're anything like me, you are constantly on the hunt for ways to deepen your understanding of the Word of God. Studying the Bible is an adventure, and having the right resources can significantly enhance our journey. Today, I’m excited to share my top five favorite biblical resources that I’ve found invaluable in gaining greater insight into scripture.

Bible Study Apps

First up on the list are Bible study apps. In this digital age, our smartphones can be powerful tools for studying the Bible. Applications like YouVersion or Olive Tree not only place the text of the Bible at your fingertips but also provide insightful commentary, devotionals, and reading plans. I love how these apps can help me track my progress and remind me daily to dive into scripture. Additional bible apps I love: Blue Letter Bible,

Articles & Resources

I regularly resource materials from: CCEF , Ligioners, ACBC, ABC, IBCD,

Online Courses and Lectures

If you want a more structured approach to your study, consider online courses. Websites like The Biblical Training offer free and affordable courses taught by experienced theologians. I discovered that attending lectures from respected leaders in the faith has not only enriched my knowledge but also my spiritual growth. It's like attending a Bible class right from the comfort of my home! I've studied courses and materials from ACBC, ABC, First Baptist Church Jacksonville, IBCD

Journaling (Lamenting): Write it Out

Another favorite resource of mine is great journaling! Getting thoughts down on paper helps me reflect on my learning and personal experiences with Scripture. I recommend using a journaling Bible with wide margins where you can jot down notes, prayers, and revelations as you read. The process of writing helps solidify teachings in my heart. I use a hardbound black sketch book I use for a journal so I can doodle and draw and sometimes a little water coloring too. I also was gifted a beautiful set of ESV Illuminated Scripture Journals a couple of years ago that are so helpful in doing inductive bible study.

Building Biblical Community

Finally, let’s not forget the power of community in studying the Bible. Joining a small group or attending a Bible study class can provide encouragement and different perspectives as we explore God’s Word together. When we gather to discuss and share our insights, we often find new light in passages that we may have overlooked when studying alone. After all, the Bible tells us that iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17)

So there you have it! My top five favorite biblical resources for studying the Word of God. Whether you use a mix of apps, commentaries, courses, journaling, or community study, I hope you find these tools as helpful as I do. Happy studying!
